Individual Development Program: Academic Flexibility & Support

Dragons Elite provides schedule flexibility so student-athletes can pursue their passion for sports while staying on track in school. At the heart of this approach is the Dragons Elite Athletics Development Playbook, a proprietary, outcome-based system designed to guide athletes toward real success, whether that means higher education, a collegiate career, or even the professional path to play.  

This approach is not one-size-fits-all. It optimizes each athlete’s development by placing them where they will have the most participation, the best opportunities to grow, and the greatest chance to reach their full potential.  

Each level emphasizes the right blend of physical, mental, and performance-based training to prepare athletes for the next stage. 

Training emphasizes optimizing individual skills, such as pitching and catching, paired with intense strength, agility, and speed conditioning.  

Through exposure mapping, athletes gain visibility with recruiters and scouts, while performance optimization ensures they consistently compete at their highest level. 

  • For 7U to 9U, the focus is on fundamental skill development and neurological development for skills that build coordination and athletic awareness.  

Athletes start competing early in a positive environment, building confidence in their own skills while learning how to work as part of a team.  

  • Between 10U and 13U, training intensifies with advanced skill development and neurological training designed to sharpen coordination and reaction.  

This stage marks the introduction to formal strength training, building a physical base for the future, while fostering confidence through individual skill development and team performance

  • At the 14U to 17U stage, athletes enter a performance-driven phase. We continue to optimize individual skills while adding increased awareness mapping to heighten game intelligence.  

Athletes focus on optimizing strength and speed, while key performance metrics are used to track progress.
